 Art Exhibition

Under the framework of the inter-scholar activities an Art Exhibition was organized by Mrs Konstadina Vlachou.

 Thematic week: Monastery of Saint Gregory Palamas

Under the framework of the thematic week, an educational visit of B Class organized in the Monastery of Saint Gregory Palamas which is located in Koufalia Thessaloniki.

The purpose of the visit was for the students to understand the particularities of monastic life.

 Thematic week: Human Rights

Under the framework of the thematic week, an educational program concerning Human Rights was developed in Discrimination, Xenophobia and Poverty. The students of the C Class under the guidance of Marianna Kolovou, responsible for the Youth Support Society "Arsis", participated in several actions concerning Human Rights. The COMPASS Human Rights handbook has been used.

 Thematic week: Police Station presentation

Under the framework of the thematic week, A and B classes visited  the Criminal Investigation Division and the Criminal Intelligence Division of Northern Greece.

The staff of the Hellenic Police Service, officers and scientists, welcomed us and informed us at the Police Station Amphitheater on Electronic Crime.

Our students also visited several research laboratories (Department of Firearms and Surgical Instruments Laboratories, Laboratory of Graphology and fake documents, Department of Chemical and Physical Examinations).

 Thematic week: Traffic Police presentation

Under the framework of the thematic week, C Class students attended a seminar concerning traffic education, traffic accidents and alcohol use.

Under the framework of the thematic week, C Class students attended a seminar concerning first aid organized by the Red Cross.

 Award for the Mountain Charity Race "Autism Hope"

Our school wan an award for the 7th Mountain Charity Race "Autism Hope", because we had the greatest participation among the students of all the Secondary Education Schools of the Municipality of Oreokastro.

 

 

April 8-12 2019

 Actionaid Student Action Week

Our school participated in Actionaid project "March with aim" in the framework of the Student Action Week from 8-12 of April 2019, with the following actions:

1. The B Class students were informed on the target 11 of the Agenda  2030 Sustainable Cities and Communities. This target is inspired by the Walk the Global Walk. In the spring of 2019 young people from 11 countries in all Europe gather kilometers for target 11.

2. The students filled a document and investigated their neighborhood, town and community with the purpose of locate problems and suggest solutions.   Finally, they produced a massage.

3. March - a walk on foot, on the 12th of April 2019, with the purpose of gathering kilometers for a sustainable town/ community. The students marched 2,5 kilometers in the town of Oreokastro.

 Mountain Charity Race "Autism Hope"

On Sunday the 7th of April 2019 and under the framework of the voluntary activities, our school participated in the 7th Mountain Charity Race "Autism Hope" that was organized by the Friends' Association of Autistic Person "HOPE".

 Lets do it GREECE

On Friday the 5th of April our school participated in the largest simultaneous voluntary activity in the whole country for the environment Lets do it GREECE. The school's students with the support of the Parents' Association and the Municipality of Oreokastro participated in environmental activities, like garbage collection and planting flowers.

 «Health Care Program»

Under the framework of the Health Care Program titled: "Development and materialization of activities concerning health care", the students of C Class have been informed by specialists on health matters.

December 12-20 2018

 «Christmas Charity Bazaar»

Under the framework of voluntarism, our school with the support of the Association of Parents and Guardians, decided to organize a Christmas Charity Bazaar, gathering items that were offered by the students, the parents and the teachers. 

The revenues are going to be used for charity purposes regarding the local community and Actionaid.
