«Female figures in the Ancient and Modern Greek Theater»

Participating Teacher: 1) Savvas Fragos, Philologist, coordinator.

Prologue from the coordinator:

What has changed in the relationship between the two sexes? How free is any woman to decide for her life? How suppressing can family be? Where can love lead us? Is loneliness the price of our choices? These were the questions that have been occupied a team of 22 students of C Class this school year.

We have tried to give answers through the following documents: Medea of Euripides, Medea of Jean Anouig, Nora of Ibsen, Stella Violandi of Xenopoulos. Additionally, we have studied the moonlight sonata of Ritsos and Kitsopoulou's document (love is deadly that lives you alive...).

The project started on November 2014. During the last six months we have worked together, on new proposals, interpretations and different opinions.

Today, we have reached the end and I want to thank my students and wish them what the narrator shouts at Nora when she opens the door of her house and walking away living everything behind: Good Lack!
