1st Stavroupoli Laboratory Center

In the framework of the lesson School Career Orientation, 28 C Class students visited 1st Stavroupoli Laboratory Center with the purpose of understanding the function of the school's laboratories. Mr. Vasilios Politis, Sociologist, organized the visit, as responsible of School Career Orientation.

Monastery of St. John the Theologian, Souroti Thessaloniki

In the framework of the lesson of Religious Matters, Class C visited the Monastery of St. John the Theologian. The visit was organized by Mrs. Persefoni Liapi, Theologian.

Milk Processing Industry MEVGAL

Monastery of Saint Grigorios Palamas

In the framework of the lessons of Computer Science and Technology, B Class visited the Milk Processing Industry MEVGAL, in Koufalia Thessaloniki, with the purpose of participating in an educational program concerning the operation of the industry and healthy nutrition. The students also visited the Monastery of Saint Grigorios Palamas. Mrs. Anna Michailidou, Computer Science, organized the visit.

The same visit was also organized for C Class under the framework of School Career Orientation.

Villa Kapantzis 

In the framework of the lesson of History, Classes A3 and A4 visited Villa Kapantzis and guided in the thematic exhibition with the title: «The West in the East. The century that shaped Thessaloniki.» Mr. Savvas Fragos, Philologist organized the visit.

The history of the building

 

In 1912, following the incorporation of Thessaloniki into the Greek state, the villa served as the residence of Prince Nicholas, the first Military Governor of the city. In 1917, the Villa Kapantzis enjoyed its most glorious days as home of Prime Minister Eleftherios Venizelos, then head of a Provisional (revolutionary) Government, based in Thessaloniki, during a critical period in the history of Greece. In the framework of the lesson of History, all school classes visited the War Museum and the Museum of Byzantine Culture in Thessaloniki. Mr. Savvas Fragos and Mrs. Aikaterini Kalli, Philologists, organized the visit.
