«ARTS AND ENVIRONMENT» – 2003-2006
The main purpose of the project “Arts and Environment”, was to make known to students several environmental issues, like alternative energy forms, disposal management, e.c.t.. As a result, our students developed environmental consciousness and learnt to respect other European communities through the understanding of both their own as well as the others identities.
1. In every one of the activities in local level, was taken under consideration the historical, environmental and artistic inheritance of each country. This information was spread among participating schools with the use of several telecommunication means, like the creation of a web page and the use of email and chat. Both students and teachers of each school prepared and presented several cultural and environmental issues concerning each participating country.
2. During project’s extent, each school once organized the «Intercultural and Environmental week».
3. The project was created according a multipurpose base in order to enhance the analytical educational schedule supported in each country.
4. Final results: creation of a web site, presentation of educational issues used in the Intercultural and Environmental week, interchange ideas between both students and teachers of each participating country and support the intercultural aspect of education.
Aims of the project:
A) The encouragement of collaborative learning as basic personal value for the students.
B) The study of cultural, historical and environmental inheritance of each participating city.
C) The improvement of the intercultural communication between students and teachers of participating countries.
D) The emphasis in sustainability for the future of mankind.
E) The encouragement in the usage of foreign languages in the exchange of ideas and experiences.
F) The use of new technologies for communication.
