On the 9th and 10th of April 2022, at Anatolia College in Thessaloniki was held the 8th Anatolia College Science and Technology Annual Conference – ACSTAC. The students-participants were invited to develop skills of research, critical thinking, collaboration and communication, presenting their work as real researchers in the context of a scientific conference.
The 1st Junior High School of Oreokastro and the 1st Junior High School of Anatolia presented to the conference their work on:
“Comparative consideration of experimental calculation of the pendulum period with digital timer, smartphone, Arduino and Tracker”.
The students of the two schools carried out collaborative experiments to calculate the pendulum period with innovative methods and STEM tools, compared the methods in terms of their accuracy and usability and justified the deviations of their experimental values.
For the presentation of their work, the effective use of technology and their communication, the students were honored with the Best Cooperation Award.
